Acceptable Use Policy
Last reviewed: July 11, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy covers the website and email newsletter (collectively, the "Services") provided by Iron Brew Works, the personal creative journal of Dan McCoy. It is designed to protect us, our readers, and the wider internet community from unethical, irresponsible, and illegal activity. It supplements the "Conditions of Use" section of our Terms and Conditions.
If you engage in activities prohibited by this policy, we may restrict or terminate your access to our Services. In extreme cases, we may be legally obliged to report such activity to the relevant authorities.
Fair Use
Our Services are provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial reading. We are opposed to all forms of abuse, discrimination, rights infringement, and any action that harms or disadvantages any group, individual, or resource, and we expect everyone using our Services to act with similar intent.
Your Responsibility
You are responsible for your own actions when using our Services, and for anyone using our Services with your permission or as a result of your failure to keep your own devices and credentials secure.

You must not subscribe any email address other than your own to our newsletter without the address owner's permission, or use any information obtained from our Services to send unsolicited messages.
Unethical, Exploitative, and Malicious Activity
You must not use our Services to distribute or make available any software or service designed to violate this policy, including tools to send spam or to initiate network sniffing, pinging, packet spoofing, flooding, mail-bombing, or denial-of-service attacks.
